Tuolumne Meadows Campground was like Disneyland…. People everywhere! We spent the morning at the campground store and post office picking up packages and gearing up for the next section. Derek shaved in the woods by the store with the shaver he got from his bounce bag. When you live outside it’s just what you gotta do!
Before going any further, I just want to say a huge thank you to Maria, Jolanda, Lilly, my Mom, Derek’s Mom, Molly, Anna and Brian who have sent care packages to us!!! You have no idea how much of a morale boost it is for us! I have gotten teary eyed with each one! I really don’t think I could do this trail without all the encouragement I get from you all.
The trail through Tuolumne Meadows (which is in Yosemite National Park) was beautiful and the crowds thinned greatly as we got further from the road.
When I look at this video I have no idea how I have gotten so far. It looks like I can barely walk! I was really struggling this day!
We saw lots of granite cliffs, waterfalls, and streams that were just amazing. No wonder people travel from all over to see this place!
We finally stopped to camp by a meadow in Cold Canyon after only 9 miles or so of hiking. We didn’t make it too far because of our busy morning at the store, but we sure did enjoyed ourselves!
